Rock-a-bye Banana (?)

AKA is terrified of most food, mostly anything raw, like fruit and vegetables. I am trying to desensitize her little by little, by just having her smell and touch, but no pressure to eat it. She does want to try certain foods, like bananas and carrots, because those are necessary props for pretending to be a monkey or bunny. But when she takes a bite, she has extreme sensory reactions to the texture and ends up crying and gagging. So for now she just smells and touches.

Today I held out an unpeeled banana to her, and she cautiously touched it (like it was a hot potato, at first), then smelled it, then held it, and then....

cradled it and rocked it, singing, "Rock-a-bye, banana, on the tree top..."
